To enrol in a White Card course, all participants must present valid photo identification before training begins. Acceptable forms of ID vary depending on which state you undertake your course in.
Common forms of photo ID include an Australian driver’s licence, passport, or proof-of-age card, but some states have additional or specific verification requirements. To ensure you bring the correct documents, please check the detailed photo ID requirements listed on your state’s White Card course page (in the About section):
You’ll need to present original, unexpired identification on the day of your training (or submit it digitally if completing an approved online course). Students who cannot provide the correct ID will not be permitted to commence training as required under WHS regulations.
Rights to Study in Australia:
In addition to photo ID requirements, you must have valid study rights in Australia to enrol in a White Card course. This means you must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a visa that permits study or training in Australia.
All participants must provide valid evidence of residency to confirm their entitlement to work or study in Australia prior to commencing the White Card course. Acceptable documents include:
VEVO check (original PDF exported from ImmiAccount within 2 days of submission),
Australian or New Zealand passport,
Australian government-issued Medicare card, or
other official documentation verifying your eligibility.
English Skill:
Basic understanding of reading, writing and oral English.
