White Card Training Duration:
6 Hours
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment):
Students will use Origin Institute-provided personal protective equipment (PPE) during the assessment. There is no requirement to bring or purchase your own PPE for class attendance, though you are welcome to do so if preferred.
Required PPE for assessment includes a hard hat, earmuffs, safety goggles, and high-visibility vest.

Sign up for the Online Learning Platform (OLP) account from the confirmation email,
Complete the enrolment form, ID upload and learning competency assessment in OLP,

How to receive your white card:
Complete the White Card course with Origin Institute.
Receive your digital certificate (interim White Card) from Origin Institute on the same day, enabling you to commence work immediately.
Receive your formal WorkSafe Victoria White Card by mail within 60 days.
International Students:
Origin Institute is a CRICOS-registered provider (ID: 03819K), welcoming international students to our nationally recognised White Card course (CPCWHS1001).
Visa and Enrolment Requirements:
Valid student or temporary visa required for enrolment.
All overseas visa holders (except permanent residents with Medicare cards) must submit a current VEVO Check during enrolment.
VEVO Check must be an original PDF from the Department of Home Affairs’ system, generated within 2 days of submission.
White Card Course Online Victoria:
Origin Institute was an approved WorkSafe Victoria training provider for online White Card courses using Connected in Real-Time delivery during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, online delivery ended in Victoria at the start of 2023.

Entry Requirements
Valid Photo ID:
You must hold a valid Photo ID (View the list of acceptable photo IDs).
Statement of Attainment and White Card can not be issued if a participant does not provide a valid photo ID. An overseas driver's licence is not acceptable.
Rights to Study in Australia:
If you are holding an overseas visa, you must be entitled to study or work in Australia under your visa.
All participants will be asked to provide valid residency evidence, such as a VEVO check, passport, Australian government-issued Medicare Card, or other document that proves they are entitled to work or study in Australia.
English Skill:
Basic understanding of reading, writing and oral English.

You need a White Card if you are going to enter a construction site as a worker, subcontractor, labourer, apprentice, site supervisor, or if your job regularly takes you onto construction sites (for example, trades, maintenance and some inspection roles).
Can I do White Card training online in Victoria in 2026?
No—since January 2023, White Card Victoria must be face-to-face only because WorkSafe Victoria no longer allows online White Card training. You must also complete the White Card course in the state where you live.

You need to bring your original photo ID and a pen to your class.
What happens if I do not bring the correct ID?

Do I need to bring my PPEs?
No, Origin Institute provides PPE (hard hat, earmuffs, goggles, hi-vis vest) for assessment—no need to buy your own.
