NSW White Card Fees: Is the SafeWork NSW Card Issuing Fee Included?
When comparing NSW White Card courses, don’t look at the advertised course price alone.
Some training providers may advertise a course price that does not include the SafeWork NSW White Card issuing fee.
Before booking, check the total price you will actually pay.
1. What Is the SafeWork NSW White Card Issuing Fee and How Much Is It?
After you successfully complete your NSW White Card training, your White Card needs to be issued through SafeWork NSW.
There is a $28 SafeWork NSW White Card issuing fee.
Training providers may handle this fee differently. Some include it in the advertised course price, while others require students to pay it separately after completing the course.
This means the price you see when booking may not always be the final price.
Tip: Before booking a White Card course, always check whether the SafeWork NSW card issuing fee is included.
2. Case Study: $89 White Card vs $89 White Card
We recently found an NSW White Card training provider advertising its course for $89.
At first glance, this appears to be the same price as an Origin Institute White Card course.
However, the provider states elsewhere on its website that the card issuing fee is not included and needs to be paid separately after successful completion.
Here’s the real comparison:
Origin Institute | Example Provider | |
Advertised Price | $89 | $89 |
SafeWork NSW Card Issuing Fee | Included | +$28 |
Total Price | $89 | $117 |
So, two courses can both appear to cost $89, while the actual amount students pay can be very different.
That’s why we recommend comparing the total price, not simply the advertised price.
