Origin Institute Digital Training Pass – How to Access and Use Your Digital Ticket

To make it easier for you to access and present your training credentials, Origin Institute provides eligible students with a Digital Training Pass, which can be saved to Apple Wallet or a compatible Android wallet application.
Your digital pass provides convenient access to your training information and includes a QR code linked to your nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.
Whether you’re starting a new job, attending a worksite or providing evidence of training to your employer, your digital pass makes it easier to keep your training credentials accessible.
What Is an Origin Institute Digital Training Pass?
The Origin Institute Digital Training Pass is an electronic record of your completed training, designed to be stored on your smartphone.
Instead of carrying an additional plastic training card, you can access your digital pass directly from your phone.
Your digital pass includes a QR code that allows your employer, supervisor or another authorised person to access and verify your associated training credentials.
Please note: Your digital pass is evidence of training completed with Origin Institute. It is not a government-issued High Risk Work Licence and does not replace any statutory licence required for particular work activities.
When Will I Receive My Digital Pass?
Eligible students will automatically receive their digital pass by email after successfully completing their training and meeting all applicable assessment and administrative requirements.
Digital passes are generally issued during our next scheduled processing cycle, usually around 6:00 am following completion of your course.
For example, if you successfully complete your training on Monday, your digital pass will generally be emailed to you on Tuesday morning.
Please allow additional processing time if your assessment results, identification or other required enrolment information are still being verified.
Your digital pass will be sent to the email address registered with Origin Institute.
Tip: If you cannot find the email, check your junk or spam folder before contacting our student support team.
How to Add Your Digital Pass to Apple Wallet (iPhone)
If you’re using an iPhone, you can conveniently store your digital training pass in Apple Wallet.
Step 1 – Open Your Email
Find the digital pass email sent by Origin Institute after completing your training.
Step 2 – Open Your Digital Pass
Tap the digital pass link or the Apple Wallet button provided in the email.
Step 3 – Add to Apple Wallet
Follow the instructions on your iPhone and select Add to save the pass to Apple Wallet.
Step 4 – Access Your Pass Anytime
Open Apple Wallet whenever you need to present your digital training pass.
Your pass can be accessed directly from your phone without searching through your emails.
How to Add Your Digital Pass to an Android Phone
Android users can also save their Origin Institute Digital Training Pass using a compatible wallet application.
Step 1 – Open Your Digital Pass Email
Find the email containing your digital training pass.
Step 2 – Install a Compatible Wallet App
If your Android device does not support the supplied pass format directly, download a compatible wallet application.
For example, you may use an application that supports Apple Wallet-compatible .pkpass files.
Step 3 – Add Your Digital Pass
Open the digital pass link or file from your email and follow the instructions to import it into your wallet application.
Step 4 – Access Your Pass
Once added, you can open the wallet application to display your training pass whenever required.
Important: Android wallet compatibility varies depending on your device, operating system and selected application.
How Can My Employer Verify My Digital Pass?
Your Origin Institute Digital Training Pass includes a QR code linked to your training credentials.
When your employer or supervisor scans the QR code, they can access the associated verification information, including your Statement of Attainment where available.
This makes it easier to confirm your completed training without requiring you to search for your original qualification documents.
Your Statement of Attainment remains the official nationally recognised training document. The digital pass is an additional, convenient way to access and present your training information.
Employers may still request your full Statement of Attainment or other evidence of competency, depending on their workplace requirements.
Which Courses Include a Digital Training Pass?
Origin Institute provides digital passes for eligible students completing selected construction safety and workplace training courses.
1. Elevating Work Platform (EWP) Training
Students who successfully complete eligible EWP training with Origin Institute receive a digital EWP training pass.
The digital pass provides convenient access to evidence of your completed EWP training.
Your nationally recognised Statement of Attainment does not have a fixed expiry date.
However, employers may require refresher training, verification of competency or additional evidence that you remain competent to operate the relevant equipment.
Please note: An Origin Institute digital EWP pass is not a High Risk Work Licence.
Operating a boom-type EWP with a boom length of 11 metres or more requires the appropriate High Risk Work Licence.
2. Victorian White Card Training
Students who successfully complete WorkSafe Victoria-approved White Card training may receive a digital pass containing their interim construction induction information.
Important: The digital interim White Card is different from your official Victorian White Card.
The interim evidence is valid for the applicable period, generally up to 60 days following successful completion of training.
Your official physical White Card is issued separately by WorkSafe Victoria and posted to your nominated address.
Once you receive your official White Card, you should use it as your primary evidence of general construction induction training.
The digital interim pass does not extend the validity of your interim documentation beyond the permitted period.
Does My Digital Training Pass Expire?
The validity of your digital pass depends on the type of training completed and any applicable regulatory or industry requirements.
For example, a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment generally remains a permanent record of the competency achieved.
However, this does not necessarily mean that every digital pass, workplace authorisation or licence remains valid indefinitely.
Some training activities may require periodic refresher training, reassessment or additional licensing.
For Victorian White Card training, the interim evidence of completion has a limited validity period while the official card is being issued.
Always refer to the validity information displayed on your training credentials and any applicable workplace or regulatory requirements.
What Happens If I Lose My Phone or Change Devices?
One of the advantages of a digital training pass is that you can retrieve it without needing to replace a physical training card.
If you lose your phone, purchase a new device or accidentally remove your pass from your wallet, you can generally restore it using the original digital pass email.
Simply open the original email on your new device and follow the instructions to add the pass again.

Your employer can also use the QR code to access the linked training information.
Your employer may request your full Statement of Attainment or additional evidence depending on workplace requirements.
Can I Save My Digital Pass on More Than One Device?
You may be able to add your digital pass to multiple compatible devices using the original email.
Compatibility depends on the device and wallet application.
For security and verification purposes, your pass should only be used by the person to whom it was issued.
Is My Digital Pass the Same as My Statement of Attainment?
No.
Your Statement of Attainment is the official nationally recognised document confirming that you have successfully completed the specified unit or units of competency.
Your Digital Training Pass is a convenient electronic record that provides access to your training information.

Do I Need to Pay for My Digital Pass?
No. Origin Institute provides digital training passes to eligible students as part of our training completion service.

If your employer requires printed evidence of training, we recommend providing your official Statement of Attainment instead.
