Traffic Control and Management Courses Now Availalbe

Updated: Jun 30, 2022

Origin Institute is pleased to announce that we have new traffic control and management courses available from today.

Students will be able to book these courses from our website directly. We have classes available every week from early June 2021. All classes are available to book from now on.

From 2022, our traffic control and traffic management courses will be available in both Lalor and Clayton locations.

Available Courses:

  • RIIWHS205E - Control traffic with the stop-slow bat (Book Now)

  • RIIWHS302E - Implement traffic management plans (Book Now)

Each course will take 1 day (from 9 am to 5 pm). Students will get Certificates (Statement of Attainment) on the same day of course completion. The Statement of Attainment is recognised by the VicRoads. Please note that you don't need a "card" to do any traffic control or management jobs, as the VicRoads only recognise a proper Statement of Attainment issued by a Registered Training Organisation.

In the traffic control course, students will learn essential skills and knowledge for the traffic controllers in controlling traffic using a stop-slow bat as well as ensure the safety of road users, traffic controllers and fellow workers. It is suitable for people who will work in the industries where traffic management is required.

In the traffic management plan course, students will learn essential skills and knowledge for interpretation and implementation of the traffic management plans as well as how to ensure a safe environment for construction and maintenance and the general public.

The class is held in our Clayton and Lalor campus. Onsite and street parking are available.
