Origin Institute provides nationally recognised training, which means that once you complete this course, your Statement of Attainment is recognised and accepted throughout Australia.

EWP Ticket Course FAQ

Do I need a yellow card to operate EWPs?

You DO NOT need a Yellow Card to operate an EWP, as Yellow Card is issued by an industry body outside of the VET sector. Origin Institute provides nationally recognised training, which means that once you complete this course, your Statement of Attainment is recognised and accepted throughout Australia for lifetime.

How many types of EWPs are covered in this training?

You will learn how to use a scissor lift and boom lift under 11 metres during the training. Once completed, you can operate 3 types of EWPs, which include scissor lift (SL), vertical lift (VL) and boom lift (BL) under 11 metres. Please note, the scissor lift and vertical lift work very similarly. They both only move vertically, so you don't need to complete training for both separately.

What is the difference between CPCCCM3001 and RIIHAN301E?

Origin Institute provides CPCCCM3001 - Operates elevated work platform up to 11 metres, which is one of the nationally recognised units for EWP training. Some other training providers may provide different units such as RIIHAN301E Operate elevating work platform unit. These 2 units come from different training packages, but both are accredited training for EWPs. CPCCCM3001 unit is inside of the building and construction training sector. Origin Institute uses the CPCCCM3001 unit because we are more specialised in building and construction training. Completing this training will support you in safe and effective operation of above mentioned EWPs, no matter if you are in construction or any other industry sector.

*In this article, the wording "Yellow Card" means a proper training credential for the operation of elevated work platforms up to 11 metres.
